"Hmmph...stealth tactics, that's getting old...Commence sheet bombardment now!"

A new tactic developed by Modem to counter enemy stealth, they may not be able to see the enemy, but they can sure as hell still hit them.

From the Flagship Dreadnought and it's escorting battleships, large missile bays begin to protrude from the sides, exposing their deadly destructive power for all to see.

All missiles fired at once, then, each missile seperated to form more smaller missiles, they then spread out in a huge blanket, speeding toward the last known location of the shadow fleet, there were too many to dodge, and going around meant straying from their course, which would give Modem another oppertunity to attack.



The Ground forces were having a hard time landing, it seemed that although the Neko Empire did not posess space faring craft, their defensive capabilities were remarkable.

"Very well, launch drop pods, we need to gain a foothold before we can send in larger numbers of troops via dropships."

The Smaller fighters were still coming in fast, duking it out with the Neko fighters, the sky was ablaze with explosions and tracer bullets as they screamed through the smoke.

The Dropships, which were not having any luck landing, pulled back, and instead, the Battleships overhead launched countless drop pods, each containing a squad of five CCM troops, they wouldn't be able to swarm the enemy in mass numbers, but at least some of them would make it through the enemy defences and gain a foothold, occupying their ground forces to give the dropships the oppertunity to land more troops.

The missile carpet exploded and revealed...nothing.

There were no husks or burning ships. The rockets blew up at nothing.
The shadow fleet was no longer in that position.

Hahahaha, he honestly thought this was just a cloak. How foolish.

The shadow behemoth looks at the cybernetic ship...from under the enemy fleet itself.

Now then, time I try this thingy I stole from my nemesis
The flagship releases it's drone fighters, which had heavy explosives strapped on to them. The horde of drones were flying right under Modem's fleet, making their way towards the ships.

There were far too many to shoot them all out, and while they can't destroy heavy cruisers, they deal massive damage to fighters and gunships.

Cyborg vs Cyborg. Ironic, isnt it?

In the meantime, the flagship has once again been covered in it's purple field and disappeared once more.

Anti-air missile launchers, guns, and laser weaponry lit up the sky above the planet with streaks of red and blue. Few, if any, of the large dropship made it past the web of anti-air defenses, but the pods were too small and fast for the missiles to lock on to. The laser gun crews had more luck, with the near-instant speed the laser hit its mark, but they could only reload so fast. Many pods were shot down by lasers and fighters, but many more also landed on the planet's surface. Neko ground forces immediately opened fire on the pods.

Note to self, if we survive ask Shadow forces for space travel tech.
