Cleaning

The forum will be undergoing maintenance as things progress forward. SMF2 is a little buggy on our forum, and I will be working to iron out some of those bugs, and to restore the forum to a similar and familiar home for us to the one that we used to have.

Dragonīs Strategy
« on: June 18, 2011, 12:56:40 pm »
Move this thread to invisible section.

The Dragon revealed me the strategy in a strong dream, first, we will make ourselves a respectably powerful clan, for the time we are second to the syn, Ill make an alliance and win their leaders trust as their ideal ally.
Do not make the syn aware of us yet.
Do not politicly attack them.
Then, we are going to backstabb them from within their souls and will never know what happended.
I know you have Faith in me, I have Faith in all of you, and we all have Faith on the Dragon.

We are the chosen ones, never forget that.

reminds me of the story you once told me about on how you divided a powerful clan into two and then made on of the halves a BD sub faction.

I'll make this thread invisible

Done Igor. Anyone who wants their thread to only be available to the higher-ups should pos it in "Council's Hollow"

I've gotta admit, this is an interesting plan Vora. I'm not sure I want to play the backstabbing card but if that's what it takes, then so be it.
You'll have to let the remaing members who can't see this know that we're gonna stay underground for a bit.

If Syndicate is anything like De Ting, which I was in for a short period, then anyone can destroy Safehouses.  I would suggest a few people making new characters and waiting for a request from The Syndicate.  If they even have ranks in their clan then raise in the ranks and wait for our clan to be strong enough, and systematically begin destroying their Safehouses, barricading them for ourselves.

This would probably be less likely to cause a similar retaliation within our clan, and would allow us to deny any responsibility.  Yes, become their Ally and milk them for all they are worth, but we need to make sure that we are as safe as possible in destroying them.

To be honest, they aren't very strong.  They never clean their ranks, which results in the majority of their 1,000 + members being completely inactive.  Still, they are the most widely known and thought to be the most powerful.  Bringing them to their knees before the Dragons might would be a considerable victory.

I like that idea Ryan, if we're gonna take them down. If we did it from the inside out, it'd be very helpful. I guess this is why I'm not the military brains behind this clan =P

I have never been, nor do I ever see myself as a military mind within the clan.  I merely put my idea's forward for the Dragons Will to consider.

Either way, you're more of a militaristic strategy guy than me =P I'm more of a technical and artistic guy when it comes to clan life lol

That being said, (and I'm sorry Vora for the mini-hijack), I think it's time to give the site a bit of a makeover, thoughts?

I agree 100%.  Not only do we need to archive the important threads and basically wipe the old forums away, we need to either change formats or update to SMF2 as you suggested, depending on what it entails.

How about this (it will be more time consuming, but ultimately more thorough) we make a new thread listing the names of threads we want to delete, and get approval from the other members. This will give every thread a look over see don't delete an important thread by accident.

Aye, though I don't see a reason to keep the Mouth of The Cave threads, nor the Market threads.  I would like to keep The Wolves Den, though.

Archive everything you find unnecessary.

I often meditate in our historical threads when making an important decision.

I personally love to look through the Mouth of the Cave from time to time, so my vote is to keep it lol.
Marketplace we can probably clean some posts out of, but I wanna read 'em first. We should probably keep the sections themselves though.

As old as the market threads are, there is no reason to keep them.  5/6ths of the members that made them are gone, not only from the clan but DF entirely.

I requested keeping The Wolve's Den RP due to nostalgia, and in the hopes that we could continue it at some point.  Most of the posts in The Wolves Den (Board) are important to those that posted them and I feel should be archived, or at the very least saved in the board.
