Chapter 3- Appointment

Time: 11:30 A.M.
Date: September 22, 2035

Albel and Igor arrive at the school. They are in the front entrance when it hits them. They have no idea what room VoraX is in.

Albel looks at Igor with an annoyed expression on his face. “I thought you knew where he was.”

Igor looks back at Albel with a smile on his face. “Don’t worry…. I have an idea.”

Igor walks towards a thin brunette woman sitting behind a desk who appears to be a secretary.

Albel slowly follows behind Igor thinking to himself. “I seriously hope he knows what he’s doing….”

Igor approaches the secretary. “Excuse me; do you know a blonde teacher that works here?”

The secretary looks up and smiles as she answers. “You must be referring to Mr. Logan. He’s the only blonde teacher here.”

Igor returns her friendly smile as he responds. “Yes ma’am, we are scheduled for a conference with him but we forgot where he said for us to meet him.”

The secretary picks up a pen and writes something down and hands it to Igor. “He’s the history teacher. You’ll find him on the second floor in room 51. Have a nice day.” The secretary smiles at Igor as he leaves.

Igor walks down the hall a few steps and then Albel stops him. “Igor, what did she write there?”

Igor glances down at the note the secretary had given him. A grin comes across his face as he reads Albel what it says. “It says 412-465-5762”

Albel chuckles lightly as he replies. “Were on an important mission to speak with our Archlord and you still find a way to pick up women.”

The two laugh together as they ascend the stairs. They stop abruptly as they approach a door with the number 51 engraved into a metal plate hanging above it.
   
Igor reaches for the door knob as the door opens. “Ah Igor, Albel…I was wondering when you would get here.”
   
Albel steps forward and extends his hand for a handshake. “Nice to meet you Mr. Logan.”
   
VoraX ignores the joke but shakes his hand. “You know there are people after me. I can’t walk around using the name you all know and love because of those people.”
   
“So why did you choose to work here as a teacher?” asks Albel.
   
“This school is a great place for recruiting new members to our clan, which brings me to the reason I have invited you here.”
VoraX pulls out several papers all labeled with the same name: William.

Igor speaks up. “What are these papers and who is William?”

“These papers are stories that William has written. They are not like normal stories. They all seem to be predictions of the future.” replies VoraX.

“What do you mean? Do they come true?” asks Igor with his eyes widened with anticipation.

“Indeed, they do come true. Remember the recent incident here where the girl was run over by that tank patrolling the area?” VoraX hands Igor and Albel one of the stories and they read it.

“This was written the day before it happened.” States Albel.

“I was hoping you would notice that Albel, you’ve always been the observant one. I believe William has done it again.”

Igor wears an intrigued expression on his face. “Is it another story Archlord?”

“Yes Igor. It is.” replies VoraX as he hands Igor and Albel the story William just wrote.

“This is about tomorrow. Do you think it will come true as well?” asks Igor as he hands the paper back to VoraX.

“Yes, Igor, I do. I want you guys to go recruit him and take him with you tomorrow.”  replies VoraX with a look on his face that expresses his concern for the situation at hand.

“At the time specified here right?” asks Igor.

“Yes. Right now we cannot risk changing the events depicted in his story.”

“All those people will die though.” Replies Igor.

“I understand but the story was not finished yet. Perhaps there will be a better time for altering the future later on. Right now we cannot risk a butterfly effect that could have catastrophic consequences.” Responds VoraX.

Igor speaks up once more. “Where do we find William?”

“He lives in the apartments across the street from here. You will know him when you see him.” Replies VoraX as he packs a suitcase with his belongings.

“Yes sir VoraX. We will do as you instruct. What’s next for you?” replies Igor as he salutes VoraX.

“Don’t know yet. I just go where people need me.” Answers VoraX.

“Well then good-bye for now Archlord.” says Igor as he and Albel turn to leave.

“May our paths cross again.” Says VoraX as they go their separate ways.
