Before you begin reading this, I'd just like to tell, that this was my first actual story and that I have never wrote before. I fully understand, that my skills are no where near to the Archlord's, Flynn's, Modem's, Jarki's or out other writers and I admit, I fail at describing details in my story. I won't ask for you to go easy on me for this being my first story, I just want you all to know, that I tried and did, what I thought, was my best. If you, Archlord, believe, that I am bad at this, then feel free to replace me with someone else, I won't hold a grudge.
 Well, here goes nothing.

Driving back home.
“Holy ****, that’s one nasty explosion” – remarked TR_Headshot to himself, after Iteration X blasted their way from the helicopter. Driving through the now bloodstained streets, the duo of vechicles began their long voyage back home. Seeing a glowing green button, TR could not withstand the temptation to find out what that button does, so he read the words around it. The words were “comunicación por radio“. Seeing the word „radio“, TR immediatly pushed that button, hoping for some music to come. Instead, he heard Meldon’s voice, saying „Did you just **** pushed a button unknowingly, without figuring out what it does?“
„Hey, I saw the word Radio around the button, hoped to get some music“.
„Well, atleast we now have direct communication between each other. I don’t know about you, but I haven’t slept since we lest Dusk Base, so I could use a break. I remember seeing a warehouse a few miles from here, we can park the cars there and spend the night.“
„Aye-aye, oh captain, my captain“ – sayed TR with a cheerful voice.

After spending another hour driving, the two cars aproach a large warehouse, seemingly desolate and untouched by the zombies. Meldon personally remembers of how Dusk trapped a group of Ascending Dawn soldiers in a building, located on the outskirts of the city and cleaned from all blood.  The AD soldiers were ravaged that day, while Dusk had no casualties. Now Meldon thinks to himself, wheter this is also a trap or is it really an untouched building. TR_Headshot, on the other hand, was optimistic and joyful as always, albeit a big tired and not showing a single thought about a trap.
„Let’s check the trunk“ – suggested TR.
„Good idea, Vorax sayed something, about weaponry on the humvees“ – replied Meldon with a tired, yet aware voice.
The weaponry in the car amazed the duo. Grabbing an M60, TR_Headshot remarked „I’m finally gonna get into Reapers with this baby“. Meldon was also amazed at the wass weaponry in the humvees. Noticing a VSS rifle, Meldon closely begins examining it, holding it carefully, as if it was a baby. The words „Rebellion“ were engraved on the barel of the rifle. Diging deeper into the weapons cache, Meldon notices a blade in a leather sheathe. Extracting the blade, the young man is shocked to the sight of the word „Patriarch“ on the weapon.
„I got one in here too“ – sayed TR_Headshot, but he quickly raised his weapon, after seeing Meldon aim at the window of the warehose.
„I just saw movement there“ – replied Meldon with a very cold and serious voice.
Equiping some grenades on his belt, TR began to aproach the door.

The cold air sweeped around his face, as TR opened the door and illuminated it’s interiour with his flashlight. His mind completely focused on the objective, his muscles gripped around the handles of his massive weapon. Meldon followed shortly, aiming his majestic weapon at the things, that were concerning him.
They were in a room, with one door on the wall opposite to them and another one on their right.
The room was vast, but had no furniture of what so ever inside it, save for a desk near the door on their right.. Signaling for TR to cover him, Meldon aproached the table. A yellow table, with dots of blood on it. The table had a photo of a small girl and a Walther PPK pistol. Suddenly, a noise is heard in the room next to them, sounded like something fell. Calling TR closer to him, Meldon prepares to inspect the room.
His forehead covers in sweat as he gently knockes on the door.
„Your waiting for an invitation?“ – asked TR.
„Checking for zombies. They react to noises“.
They stood there for 30 seconds. Nothing came. Slowly opening the door, Meldon examines it from the door frame. This was apperently the manager’s room, as it was a small office of some sorts. Nothing seemed to be in there at first, but the duo was still cautious. TR stepped in.
Walking through the doorframe, he was surprised by the power, that had suddenly pinned him down on the floor. The entity, that grasped him, lost it’s grip, after Meldon almost immediatly kicked it off mid-air, aiming his weapon at the being.
Illuminating with his flashlight, Meldon was shocked to see a woman with a chef knife in her hands, face covered in tears and fear. A long haired brunette caucasian with eyes as blue as the sea was. Black T-shirt with blue combats and that was all.
„Graaaaah. What the fu..“ – sayed TR, but was interrupted.
„P..pp...please“ whimpered the woman.
„Who are you?“ – asked Meldon, still aiming his weapon.
„Ss...s..Sabrina“
Giving out a loud sigh, Meldon lowered his weapon, kicked the knife aside and helped the woman up.
„Why did you attack us?“ – asked the sniper.
„I...was looting the area...“
„With a chef knife?“ – abruptly interrupted TR.
„Hush....go on, Sabrina“
„I heard roars from afar and thoughts the things were coming, so I ran in here. I hid here, hearing roars, but I didn’t know those were your cars. I haven’t seen one in so many years, I forgot how they sound“
„So that was you on the second floor, watching us?“ – asked Meldon.
„Excuse me? I got here only 20 minutes ago, I haven’t been to the second floor.
This news surprised both Dragon Agents. TR immediately aimed his M60 back to the doorway, sweating like a madman, for this was not the end of it.
Leaving the room, his nerves were almost broken, as he was ready to shoot at anything moving. There was only one door left. Slowly begining his mini-assault, TR focused on any noise, that could come.
Remembering Meldon’s tactic, TR knocks on the door. After waiting 20 secodns, he begins to hear something, similart to a baby cry.
Not understanding a thing, TR breaks into the door.

To his horror, he sees something, that he has never seen before: a little girl with two identical heads (Hence, 3D update blodspot), wearing purple skirts, standing with it’s back towards TR. She slowly turns, revealing their horrific grins and faces covered in blood, eyes white, but frowning.
It opened it’s mouths for a high pitched scream, that almost made TR a mute, before he opened fire at the thing. Ravaging the thing with atleast 40 bullets, he breathes deeply, as he has absolutely no idea what that thing was.
He almost killled off Meldon, when the later pated him on the shoulder to check, wheter he was alright.
„Easy buddy, your safe...for now“ – sayed Meldon with a calming voice.
Sweating like never before, TR slowly leans to the wall, trying to regain his breathe.
„Jeeze, Pat, we’ve seen worser things before, why you so scared now?“ – asked Mel.
„I..I d.dd...don’t know. That thing’s scream was....I don’t know, special?“ – replied TR.
Poking one of the shredded heads with his rifle, Meldon remarks „Well, it won’t be singing anytime soon....Hey, there’s the staircase to the second floor“, sayed Mel, pointing at the stairs.
TR was ashamed, that he had only noticed the staircase now; that little girl sure played a number on him.
„Sabrina, stay close to TR. I’m going in“ – ordered Meldong.

Meldon went upstairs, Sabrina was behind him, TR was covering the rear.
This warehouse turned out to be only two stories high, but it’s sheer size compensated for that matter. There were again, only two doors: one on the left, the other on the right from where Meldon was standing. Remembering how it started last time, Meldon examies the door on the right, knocks on it, waits, opens the door, examines it from the inside. It was another office room. Quickly checking both sides for any ambushes, Meldon calmly proceeds to examine the door, as TR is covering his back.
The table was also yellow and had green dots on them. A picture of a young man in his 17 years and a Nerotonin-2 syringe were lying on the table.
„This might come in handy“ – muttered Meldon to himself.

Leaving the room, Meldon and Sabrina notice the absence of TR and that the door opposite to them is open.
Not understanding a thing, Meldon suddenly hears machine gun rounds firing right in the room infront of them. Quickly rushing inside, Meldon is shocked at the sight: A green longarmed zombie, holding a large metal chunk, covering himself from the shots of the machine gun, slowly advances towards Patrick.

„MELDON!!! FLANK IT, NOW!!!“ – shouted TR through the screams of his machine gun.
Understanding the situation, Meldon with inhuman speed rushes to the left side of the zombie and takes aim. To his surprise, the beast throws something at Meldon with it’s spare arm. Dodging it, Meldon is amazed at the inteligence of this zombie: he threw a kukri blade at him with such strenght, that it penetrated the wall. Getting up, Meldon notices, that the shots are over. He is shocked at the sight, the zombie has bashed TR with the „shield“ and knocked the machine gun away. TR rises quickly and grabs his Patriarch Blade, preparing for the fight of his life. With lightning speed, he flanks the beast and dodges every attack it makes with it’s free arm. After dodging three attacks, TR gets behind the thing and slashes it’s shield holding arm. The beast lets out a large roar, as it drops the chunk of metal. Full of rage, it lashes at Patrick with it’s claws, only for him to parry every strike, then slicing it’s stomach after evading an attack. Releasing another roar, the creature lunges at TR with both hands, but Meldon shoots one hand away with his rifle, while TR chops off the second hand. The beast, full of agony and pain, lunges at TR, who evades the attack, then jumps on the creature’s back and begins to stab the back of the head multiple times.
After five strikes, the beast falls. Meldon lets out a sigh of rejoice, as the thing is dead, but he notices, that Patrick is standing a top of it, looking down at it. Suddenly, Patrick gets down on his knees. Meldon fears the worst: Patrick got infected during the battle. Aiming his weapon, Mel hesitates to pull the trigger.
„Pat. You ok?“ – asks Mel.
Sitting quietly for 10 seconds, TR places his hand onto the beast’s stomach and says „Dea Draconum Spiritum Obscuritatis“ and plunges his hand into the stomach.
His cold look is changed to an annoyed face full of rage, as he realises, that he’s holding a trench knife in his hands
„OH WHAT THE ****?“ – angrily sayed Patrick
Meldon laughs at the matter and rejoices, that his friend is not a zombie.
„Green loot sucks these days, friend. You should get used to it“ – remarks Meldon, while lauging inbetween the words.
After looking annoyed at the knife, TR slowly turns his attention elsewhere and points at the door „Where’d the chick go?“
Meldon reacted quickly. Getting outside the room, he begins searching. Shouting the woman’s name, he heard a response from the office room, that he checked before.
Bursting inside, Meldon sees Sabrina, sitting on the table, with her hands covering her legs and crying. Meldon slowly aproached her, rifle at ready. She could have been infected all along.
„Sabrina, are you alright?“. She didn’t answer, she continued crying. Getting closer, Meldon tries to get a better picture of what to do.
„Sabrina, I will kill you, if your infected“ – warned the Dragon Agent. He knew he was being harsh, but this is not the time to risk.
„I...I’m...scared“ – whimpered the woman in return. Meldon sighed and holstered his rifle. Holding the woman in his arms, he transcends down the staircase. An already cooled down Patrick was standing down there, dirivng the cars inside the warehouse.
„You look life a fireman“ – remarked TR with a small laugh upon seeing Mel.

„Shut up and close the doors. We’re sleeping inside the humvees.“ – sayed Meldon.
Gently putting Sabrina on the back seat of his car, Meldon begins examining her sleeping body for bite marks.
„Peeerveeeert“ – sang TR at the sigh.
Meldon ignored that statement. Not the time for jokes. Not seeing any bite marks, he is relieved, that he won’t have to take a life of a person today.

The adrenaline was no longer pumping in Meldon’s body, he was begining to realise how exhausted he is. Not wanting to knock onto the hard floor, he extract all keys from the cars, locks Sabrina in the second one and goes to sleep in the first car with Patrick.
They slept almost for a day and waking up, they felt a large hunger in their stomachs.
„Maybe the humvees have food?“ – suggested TR_Headshot.
Digging around in there, Meldon found some beer and chips in Forge’s car, while Patrick found sushi and some liquour in Tenchu’s car.
„Mel, I’m a beer man.“
„And I’m an every man“ – remarked Meldon with a smile.
„What about Sabrina?“
Showing a fried potato, he passes it to the girl, who thanks him and eats the potato almost instantly.
„Think we should start moving?“ – asked TR.
„Yes, we must. Sabrina, you will drive with me. Pat, you grab the other humvee. With luck, we’ll be back at Dusk Base by evening“

Boarding the vechicles, they begin cruising through the landscape once more. The scenery changed from a farmland to woods, to sub-urbs and finally, to the outskirst of Fairview. Once they reached the rusted sign „Welcome to Fairview“, a heart-warming feeling filled Meldon’s heart. So close to home, where the Dusk Agent would greet him and cook him food for the difficult task he and Patrick accomplished.

„Mel, we’re back in the city. Know what that means?“ –asked TR over the radio
„Zombies and rival clans, that’s what“.
„Yeah, so how do we handle them, incase we see them?“
„Drive through and rush to the base“
„Not the best plan“
„The only one we have at this point“

The driving was going good, until they reached the North-Eastern area. Dusk base was in the Eastern area.
Meldon feared, that they would attract too many creatures with the humvees. His fears became a reality, when TR rammed a Fat Green zombie.
„Boosh, 50 points for that one“ – sayed TR over the radio.
„You do realise, that zombies will be on our back now, right?“
„Umm....no?“
„Yeah, we’re kinda **** now“

They drove all the way through the North Eastern area and went south to reach base with an army of zombies behind them.
They were a mere 5 blocks away from base, when a wave of zombies came from the street ahead of them, which led to base.
They turned left.
To Mel’s horror, they reached a street, that was blocked by two blue containers and the horde was right behind them.
TR reacted immediately, by mounting the turret on top of the car and opened fire.
Meldon followed his motion and also fired from the turret, Sabrina grabbed Meldon’s rifle and began to shoot.

The sheer force of the turret was beggining to mute Patrick, as the loud racket of bullets piercing flesh and blood splattering drove him into a bloodlust.
Meldon stood there, sweating and afraid, that he wouldn’t live to tell the tale of his journey.
The street was covered in blood after 2 minutes of shooting, but no matter how many zombies they would kill, more would just replace the killed ones. All seemed lost, when they began to get closer and closer. The monsters were only a mere 50 meeters away from the cars and the horde seemed, like it would never end.
Meldon prayed for a miracle and got explosions raining from above.

„FOR THE GLORY!!!“ – shouted a man from above the rooftops, that fired an XM25 at the horde.
Suddenly, more explosions began to came and machine guns were firing from the roofs as well. Meldon probably never was so happy to see his brothers.
The door to the building on the left exploded and Dusk Settlers poured out of it, firing their AK-47s at the hordes. Finally, a man, wielding a USAS 12 and wearing a Trench Coat with a wolf’s face on it got out of the door and opened fire at the monsters. The duo quickly recognised the person as Thuggernaut, the armoury master of Dusk.
The zombie advance halted at those remaining 50 meeters. Then it was pushed back.
Thuggy bravely pushed onwards ahead of his men and shredded zombies with his shotgun. Others followed his example and followed behind him, pushing back the zombies.
The sheer firepower didn’t allow the zombies to get even a meeter close to them, as the men on the rooftops kept firing.
Explosions, machine gun rounds, shotguns, rifles, it seemed, like an entire army had came to save Patrick and Meldon.

„These zombies aint so tough“ – kept trash talking the armourer at the zombies.

Meldon and Patrick quickly drove the cars out of the blockade and turned left towards the base, with the Dusk Agents covering them. Mel was glaring at the Dusk stronghold, as if he never saw a more marvelous structure, even though it was just a bunch of buildings connected to each other and surrounded by a wall.
The gate opened and the duo drove inside. Slowly, the entire army pulled back inside the stronghold and closed the gate.
Thuggernaut, having some blood on his face, raised his shotgun and shouted „FOR THE GLORY!!!“ and the whole base shouted the moto in return.

2 weeks later

Meldon was sitting in the Dusk Canteen, eating meat and drinking wine, when his friend Patrick came in. Now he looked different, like having a picture of a skull on his mesh and holding a machine gun on his back.
„That baby did help you?“ – asked Meldon.
„Sure did, Ashley let me into the Reapers. You could get in there too, ya know“
„I got my own promotion. It’s where I belong, thank you“
„And what are you now?“
„Let me show you“

The two walked all the way to the bottom of the building, where about 30 people were just standing there unarmed. Patrick quickly recognised Sabrina among the bunch of people.
Patrick recogines this basement as Crazy Hobo’s emotional test room for the newbies.
Meldon slowly approached the people and with a cold and influental voice sayed
„Welcome into Dusk. Before we begin, I will need you all to answer two questions.....“
